Bouncing around the Internet tubes

Web design once was a hobby.  In college, the Internet was relatively new, offering a new challenge.  It was a way my friends across the country could see something I created.  My first site consisted of some personal information, a Hagar the Horrible comic strip, and a list of bands I enjoyed.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

While I was thus far unable to find the old strip, most of my sites today reflect that attitude.  I’ve grown up with creating web pages and desing, and still enjoy it today.  I am currently working on turning it into a side business, and have been quite successful.  Outside the Brain Studio provides web design, writing, and Internet marketing, along with whatever else clients may request.

MadJournalism.org is an original concept to inspire communication and learning among graduate journalism students at the University of Wisconsin.  On the main page, working journalists in the community answer student questions and discuss what it is like to be a journalist.  The forum section gives students a place to discuss classes and theories.  The wiki provides journalistic style guidelines.  The site is scheduled to launch in summer 2008.

I hope to provide updated samples of my work soon, but until then here is a link to an old portfolio page.
