Writing is a passion. Long before I decided to become a journalist, I discovered the joy of coating vellum with thoughts and stories. I even started a short-lived online literary magazine after graduating from college.
Most nights I could be found in a Milwaukee watering hole or coffee shop with a pen and a half dozen sheets of paper ripped from old notebooks. On multiple occasions I underestimated my needs, and would end up walking home with a pocket full of napkins covered in writing. On one occasion, the bar patrons were confused by my use of a brown paper bag to finish my thoughts.
Now I tend to prefer coffee shops or the comforts of my living room to dark smoky bars when I strike pen to paper; or finger to keypad. I still enjoy writing longhand for my more creative ventures.
“So this guy writes. Where can we find his work?”

MidwesternBoy.com is my personal writing site, dedicated to technology, sports, politics, and media (in theory). While I try to stick to these topics, I occasionally diverge to others.
Capital Times articles:
“Geekend” is a short story I wrote that I plan to turn into a short film in the near future.
